General Pedagogical methods used for this programme | We will provide a programme that will be delivered allowing the students to experience both the theoretical knowledge and the practical side.
Physiotherapy is a practical profession and the programme that leads to it needs to adapt accordingly to his necessity. For this reason, theoretical subjects will be taught with face-to-face lectures, while practical subjects will be taught directly practicing the techniques that are required by the learning outcomes of the programme. The support of a VLE will complete this model of education. https://acs-college.moodlecloud.com/ Internship The Physio Specialist ASOMI Training Centre EDUCAM Cromon srl CARL TODD CLINICS The facilities are directly in agreement with the institution, so the student won’t need to search for it. The objective of the internship is to enable the student to implement the practical, theoretical and methodological tools acquired during the course of study, to identify and implement skills necessary to consolidate their professional training. The student will practice during practice hours of the practical subjects and then will experience the internship in the facilities in agreement with the institution. The internship hours need to be completed in order to access the next internship module (from one year to the other). The internship and the programme can be undertaken fully in Malta (100% in Malta) or the student can decide to undertake one or more modules of internship abroad, in the accredited venues, as following (the percentages refer to the total amount of credits of the programme):
In the Bachelor Science Physiotherapy (Hons), the internship will consist of the hours of practice from the practical lessons and the supervised placements that will be carried out during the course of all 4 years. |
General Assessment Methods | For the theoretical subjects the assessment is held at the end of the progress of the hours of teaching provided by the course pathway. It consists of a written test (which includes closed-ended questions and open-ended questions). If the written exam is passed, the student can access the oral exam (when necessary). Regarding the practical subjects the assessment strategies are different:
